Review: Dyson DC23 Turbinehead Vacuum

Ok, I have to admit – I dislike cleaning.  I mean I don’t hate it — of course I love it when my house is sparkly, clean and fresh smelling – it just takes some motivation to get it that way.  Thanks to the Dyson DC23 Turbinehead Vacuum, I actually ENJOY cleaning.  There’s something about the colorful, space age looking machine that gets me excited to wake up and start sucking away the dirt and grime!  Not only is the style and design spectacular – the thing actually WORKS!!  In all honesty it’s one of the best vacuums I’ve ever tried.  It has an incredibly powerful suction (220 Air Watts to be exact) and a patented Level 3 Root Cyclone technology which means no loss of suction.  It picks up even the smallest crumbs that other vacuums tend to leave behind.  The machine is lightweight, weighing in at only 19.5 pounds and has a 21.6 foot cord so I don’t have to unplug and re-plug over and over again.  Another cord feature: it has an automatic cord rewind!  With most vacuums, you have to take the cord and wrap and wrap and wrap (you get the point) until it’s big and bulky and secure on the back of the vacuum.  Not with the Dyson – with the push of a button the cord automatically retracts back into the machine, hidden away until you pull it out for use again!  The Dyson DC23 Turbinehead also comes with several attachments for smaller tasks and areas such as the Stair tool, designed for removing dirt and dust from stairs and stair carpets, the Brush tool which contains long bristles to help dislodge those pesky cobwebs (I live in the woods so I see my fair share of these suckers), and the Crevice tool ideal for cleaning hard to reach areas including fans, base boards, picture frames, and chair rails.  The Crevice tool is especially handy to clean in between furniture in those hard to reach spots.  I love the fact that all of these helpful tools are conveniently stored on the machine itself eliminating the risk of losing or misplacing them.  One of the greatest things about the Dyson DC23 Turbinehead (and all of Dyson vacuums for that matter) is that they are completely bagless.  This not only makes for easy cleanup, it makes the vacuum well worth the price tag.  Think about all of the filters, bags, and belts that you would have to purchase for other brand vacuums that eventually, over time would end up costing you more than the actual machine itself! See for yourself HERE the money that Dyson can save you compared to other top selling vacuum cleaners.  Dyson vacuums also come with a 5 year parts and labor warranty, so you can be rest-assured that if anything happens to your machine, Dyson has you covered!
